This one is a lil confusing...I recently got an anime dvd from my brother and he converted it so there are 12 eps per disk but the episodes arent divided by menus at all so you have to keep hitting the skip button to find what ep you were last on...is there anyway i can redo this set so they have a menu on them??? He used VSO to make them

I'd recommend TDA, but that's coz I use it and don't know any other. But, that said, it's pretty easy to pick up.

ok here is an update...
I have followed the directions on the https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=220758 site as best I could and NOTHING works..
My scenario is this....
I have an anime dvd made with no menus so i dont have chapter selection which is a pain in the bum...anyhow this disk consists of 12 episodes, each episode has 12 chapters. The audio can be turned off and there are no subtitles. I need to convert it or re encode it or whatever so it has a menu with episode selection...can anyone help me>?? -
I really think TMPGEnc DVD Author would be the easiest sollution for you. It's VERY easy to use and it excepts vob's.
Just start the program. Select "create new project". Then select "Add DVD Video". Then point it to the folder with your DVD Video in it. Just like the tutorial above shows. It's very easy to do. Then just follow the instructions in the program pretty much. Select your video and audio stream (which will most likely be listed already, in which case you just click next). Click on chapter edit and select how you want your chapters. You have the option of a specified amount or in time increments you specify.
I think your getting overwelmed by all this. There's no need to. -
Rip disc as one long VOB file in IFO mode using DVD Decrypter.
Open the VOB in Womble MPEG-VCR. Cut each episode apart and save as a separate MPEG file.
Open any authoring software (well, any GOOD one), and import the MPEG files, and make a new DVD.
It's really easy.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
