I want to know if there is a way to re- join DVD movies that were split with DVDFab into two discs. Is there an easy way to reverse the process?

I have a lot of 2 disc movies that were copied from one disc originals split into 2 discs and I am wondering, as time and technology moves on if I will be able to somehow take the two discs and make one folder on my hard drive. Thanks

Well, it's a digital format, so you can join them back with no loses. But if you modified the original, as in Shrinking it, then you can't get back to the original quality.

If you just want to save them on your hard drive, you could demux them to MPEG-2 with a program like VOB2MPG.

Take a look here for a tutorial on that type of conversion:

If you wanted to convert the MPEG files back to a dual layer DVD, you could author it again.

    Thanks for the replies.
I did not compress them. I just used DVDFab to split into two discs so I could have the original quality.

The reason I ask this is that I am starting to get quite a collection and with tech moving so fast, I wondered that if another format were to come along if I could put these split discs back together and have the whole movie on one disc again.
    Thanks
