Burning larger than 1 gig file to DVD disk?

So, I download videos off my DirecTivo (Suvivorman, Dirty Jobs, and the occasional movie from TCM, etc..), Ill process them to a Divx/MP3 file. All that goes just peachy.

Now I want to archive the bigger files to DVD 4.3 media, but according to ISO or UDF standards or what ever, I cant burn larger than 1 gig files. Im running Nero, pretty recent version. Is there any work around? I cant find any help on Google or videohelp search.

I may have answered my own question. In Nero there are 3 different ways to burn a data DVD. ISO, UDF and ISO/UDF. I am burning a 2 gig file to DVD+RW right now using DVD(UDF) from the starup wizzard, it didnt complain about the file size, so Im assuming it will work fine.

If there are any problems, Ill post back otherwise DVD(UDF) is the profile that should be selected.

Side note, Ive been using DVD(ISO) in the past.

Yes, 1 GB is the max filke size of the ISO file system.

Yes, a little Googling came up with 16 exabyte. Let's say - it's nothing to worry about this decade...

Thanks much for your replies! Now, all I have to do is get a Divx set-top player to save me lots of encode time! Since I archive to DVD in Divx format, might as well be able to view them, right?
