    When I play a video in Media Player Classic or Windows Media Player I notice a skipping problem, when the video skips forward about a second. Removing and reinstalling ffdshow hasn't helped. I also removed all the official divx codecs but that didn't help.
    It works fine in VLC player but not in MPC or WMP.
    I'm gonna try Zoom Player to see if the problem is with the player, which I doubt it is.

    After extensive googling I found a solution.
    I lowered the sound acceleration in the control panel from complete (4th step) to normal (2nd step) and the problem seems to have gone away, hopefully it'll stay that way.
