trying to take advantage of vdubvcr's capture timer but when I click on the capture avi link from file menu I get the below.

I also cant close the program via task manager when I try to end the process, anyone else have this problem or know a solution?

Just a chance , from what I see from your hardware as listed , vdub dosent work with wdm drivers , only vfw drivers .
Check in the settings , as you may have accidentally set the app to use the wdm drivers from the win card , which will cause problems .
From what I recall , this is accessed only by sellecting the capture mode , from here you can remove the affending device from the "default" list . This should fix vdubs problem's .
Try a different version of vdub and see if it happens again , if it dosent , then its a possibilty the version you were using had some form of program corruption .
As for any capturing , either use the provided software that came with the card , if it didnt come with any (it should have) , then you'll need another program like nero 6 , or uleadvideo studio , or others , but the two I mentioned are pretty good , and have more features than others .
