  1. I need to get a program that can burn anytype of file to a DVD without it saying not a compatible file. for instance I have two types of files: 1 is a mpeg and the other is a .bin and .cue file. Well both of those files together have a movie on them and I want to burn those two files on two one dvd. What program do I need to use?

  3. Well, a .cue file goes with a .bin file and it contains the "instructions" (roughly speaking) on how to turn the .bin file into a valid CD or DVD (again, I'm being very general here!). So yeah, if you have a valid bin/cue set, and open the cue file with, say, Nero Burning ROM (my personal burning program but there are others), Nero will read that cue file and know what to do -- you just press the "Burn (DVD or CD)" button then.

As for whether or not the resulting DVD will play in your DVD player depends on whether the image was valid to begin with, and then on some variables involving your media, cd-burner, playback device, blah blah blah. But yeah, for the most part, if you've got a valid bin/cue set, burning a DVD is as easy as:

    1) Open cue file with Nero (or some other burning software)
    2) Burn resulting DVD

As for your mpeg file, assuming it's an mpeg2 file, you'll need to "author" the file into DVD-playable format (i.e. VOBs, .ifo files, VIDEO_TS folders, etc.) using some form of DVD authoring software. Nero can, depending on your luck, also do this for you (or more accurately, Nerovision Express, part of the full Nero suite, can do this for you).

There's some freeware and shareware software that'll burn bin/cue files, as well as author DVDs, but I'm lazy and somebody else can tell you about those, they'll post soon.
