When I use WinDV to capture two certain PAL-video tapes (with copy protection) (I use a box which transforms the signals to digital signals and this works usually great, also when the video tapes are copy protected), the avi-files, which WinDV creates, contain sound noise. What can be the problem?

  2. Not a direct help, but this is the problem with WinDV: there is no sound played during capture. I love the simplicity of this program, but I tend to play a bit of the tape in DVapp first to make sure that there are not any sound problems before I go back to WinDV to record.
