  1. I've got 15 small MPEG-1 files I wanted to convert to a DVD using the SVCDVD function in the Tools tab of ffmpegX, but I get the following AppleScript error message:

    "Apple Script Error

    Can't make «class psxf» "/Batman\\ 1943" of application "Finder" into type string. (-1700)"

Has anyone ever succeeded in making this tool work? I've always gotten nothing but this error message.

    Many thanks for any info!

    Phil

  2. Perhaps try to remove special characters and spaces from your paths and disk name?

Thank you! That worked. I'd tried it, oh, five or six times before, and it always failed, and while on some of those occasions I did remove special characters, this might be the first time I removed all spaces from the file and directory names, too.

I got a bit of a scare when the script apeared to produce blank, empty mpegs and VOB's, but when it was done the final folder worked fine.

    Thanks again!
