dvd decrypter problems

I am trying to rip a dvd with dvd decrypter and I have settings to ignore read errors but dvd decrypter keeps retrying read errors, over 200 at the moment. I thought it was supposed to skip these with ignore read errors checked? I have gone to tools ---> settings ---> i/o TAB ----> and checked ingnore read errors.
Any ideas?

I tried that but that doest work either, Im trying to back up the interpreter UK.
Does anybody know how I cant get DVD decrypter to ignore read errors?

Settings -> I/O -> Options -> Software Read Error Retries. Set the last one to zero. Setting it to ignore read errors means simply that it won't stop cold when it does the specified number of retries without success. It may still take a long time to plow through, (depending on how many errors on the disc) even with retries at zero.

Are you trying to create a PSL file? Dunno about that movie, does it have bad sector protection?.

Yeah Im trying to vreate a psl file, never done one before so not quite sure how. Ill read a guide. In my log there does seem to be quite a lot of failed to read sectors about 200 so far and it hasnt started decrypting main movie files yet!

Is this normal with new dvd's? I have noticed that they are becoming harder and harder to back up! damn you sony!

If I just leave the read errors off will I be able to play the dvd? once it has been decrypted?

Use dvd fab decrypter. It could be that there are a lot of errors in a row. Fab will skip error much better.

I tried using dvdfab but it was getting stuck on a file so now im trying using dvd decrypter with pretty much all the decryption settings turned off with the latest version of anydvd running in the background. No read errors so far but only reading at 200kB/s! Quicker than downloading I suppose!
Is this quite a slow method to rip a DVD?
I have followed all the steps in the dvd-tips for speed article.

Now the latest methods I tried is giving me read errors (using anydvd in the background and dvd decrypter).

Is there any way I can rip these dvd's? (The butterfly effect and The Interpreter) I have tried thus far:

Dvd decrypter (final version)
Dvd fab express (latest version)
Any dvd (straight ctrl+c to hdd)
Any dvd and Dvd decrypter.

How long should it take dvd decrypter to read thw whole disk, with ignore read errors checked? took me about 2 hours to do 50% then I just gave up, dont like my dvd drive being worked for such extended periods.
Is there any way I can back up these damn dvd's? both region 2 and UK version!

I suspect it is choking on Nicole Kidman's acting. I know I do

I suspect if DVD fab decrypter can't do it, either the encyption is new and hasn't been broken, or there are mega scratches and dirt on the disk.
