Hello,
This just started about a week ago with 0.0.9t r4 on Mac OS X 10.4.2. I don't have any ideas on how it started and I've done everything from reinstalling ffmpegX (uninstalled the application support and trashed prefs also) and repairing permissions... even trying an older version. I'm now running Mac OS X 10.4.3. I get this error no matter what kind of file I try to re-encode, or format I try to encode to.
I've got ffmpegX on my Unsanity Haxies exclude list also... I can't make heads or tails of it. I hope you can help, thanks!AppleScript Error
Can't get text item 2 of "/file.avi". (-1728)

The quoted info has no link with ffmpegX. Possibly the above issue has to do with foreign localization?

Sorry for the fuss. I've tracked it down to a haxie after all. It was Unsanity's Silk. The haxie needed to be removed rather than just disabled for it fix the problem. I've already contacted the developer of Silk to see if he can fix the issue.
