    Hello,

This just started about a week ago with 0.0.9t r4 on Mac OS X 10.4.2. I don't have any ideas on how it started and I've done everything from reinstalling ffmpegX (uninstalled the application support and trashed prefs also) and repairing permissions... even trying an older version. I'm now running Mac OS X 10.4.3. I get this error no matter what kind of file I try to re-encode, or format I try to encode to.

    AppleScript Error
    Can't get text item 2 of "/file.avi". (-1728)
I've got ffmpegX on my Unsanity Haxies exclude list also... I can't make heads or tails of it. I hope you can help, thanks!

Hey quick update: It's user account specific, it works fine under a different user account. What preference files and caches are associated with ffmpegX?

    Code:
FFusion Codec: Opening component for type : DIVX
FFusion Codec: Use speedy y420 component 0x1043
    FFusion Codec: Altivec Acceleration enabled!
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
FFusion Codec: Key does not exists
subType : DIVX has speedy component 0x1043
    codec info 0
    MPEG 4 Codec

  3. The quoted info has no link with ffmpegX. Possibly the above issue has to do with foreign localization?

Sorry for the fuss. I've tracked it down to a haxie after all. It was Unsanity's Silk. The haxie needed to be removed rather than just disabled for it fix the problem. I've already contacted the developer of Silk to see if he can fix the issue.
