Hi,
I am trying to make a back up of some movies that are on double sided DVD's.
I can read the first side ok but my DVD writer can't read the other side. Is there software I need or is it just my DVD writer?
My writer is a Philips DVDR1640P
I have tried a few disks (I have about 15 or so films that are double sided DVD's that came free with my DVD player.) and I can't read the second side of any.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

You mean double sided as in "flippers"? Basically, it's just 2 DVDs glued back to back - no reason for either side not to be readable by your reader...

Maybe so, but they don't read none the less! I even struggle to get them to play in my DVD player. I have to keep pressing the menu to skip to the movie. Otherwise the disk just skips or freezes.
I've tried all the disks but they just don't want to work using the 'B' side.
Oh well, the films aren't that good anyway.
Thanks
