You can if you've got the right printer. As Canadateck says, the Epson R200 or R300 will do it, so will the Canon Pixma IP3000, 4000 and 5000.

I understand this feature is disabled on printers sold in the US, so you may be out of luck if you live there.

Sure you can!! a friend in college once asked me how i printed a label on a cd, i told her it's easy, you just boil it until it get's really soft and is flexible, then you quickly run it through your printer and quickly lay it on a flat surface so it rehardens flat before it cools off :P She believed me until i could not stand it anymore and told her the truth
so much for a college education

  4. No biggy. Just use some felt tip markers and draw on them. Better yet, an Epson r200 is a pretty darn good investment.

  5. I already have several printers and don't want to get another. I thought maybe there was somekind of contraption to put them in. Oh well. I got some labels and software. Go that route maybe. Dennis

Although DVD and CD labels exist, they are generally not recommended. Labels can cause discs to become unbalanced affecting playback. They can also become loose and muck up your player.

I recently got an R200. Since I already have another regular printer, I use the R200 only for disc printing. At only $79 (on sale), I think it's a great investment.

You can also find the Epson R200 on closeout at different Staples, Office Max and Office Depots. I just picked one up for 50.00 still in the box at my local Staples.
