RMVB conversion....again

After a long time, I am trying again to convert an .rmvb file into a DVD.

So I select 'DVD mpeg2enc' as the target format. The .rmvb file plays just fine if I hit the Play button.

Conversion fails immediately witht the following error message:

Before hitting Encode, open the Options tab, see if "Decode with mplayer" is checked.

Thanks Case. If I do that, conversion starts.....and lasts a loooong time (6 hours for a 1 h movie). However, in the end it fails. It produces a playabke VIDEO_TS folder, but the audio is missing in the last ~7 min. of the movie!

[Case]

It produces a playable VIDEO_TS folder, but the
audio is missing in the last ~7 min. of the movie!

Weird. I have no solution for that, sorry.
Is the audio in sync or sped up?
You could try the "Movie audio to mp2/ac3" preset,
to see if that produces an audio file of correct length,
and then author that with the m2v file.

The audio is in perfect sync right up to the point where it suddenly disappears completely, about 7 min. before the end of the movie.
