I have several video files and they are of various formats, i.e. mpeg, avi (divx, xvid), mov, wmv. I want to get them in the best quality for DVD authoring (using DVD Architect), therefore I want to normalize the audio, clean up the video quality and re-encode them all in the same DVD-compliant video/audio format, i.e. mpeg2/AC3. I have Sony Vegas 6, I heard it's pretty good for editing/encoding (not sure about filtering), but I have no experience with it yet. Can you recommend software to accomplish what I want to do? Can all this be done conveniently with one tool or do I have to use several? Also, is there a way to batch-filter and/or batch-encode the files, because I have almost 200 files that need to be processed?
