Hi,
I want to put 3 or 4 CD burners in one XP box to burn the same thing at the same time. Can this be done?
I now use Roxio Creator.
What else do I need other than the burners?
Thanks

You need Roxio to be able to support it - I know Nero does.
You need enough IDE connections also. Every mobo I've seen supports 4 (2 Primary, 2 Secondary), and generally you'll have one for your OS hard drive (unless you use SATA or RAID), and one for each optical DVD drive you have as well. You can buy PCI IDE expansion cards though, and each slot will support another two devices. Most cards I've seen have two slots on them, so 1 card gets you 4 extra devices. You should also have an adequate power supply - I'd suggest 450W ++.
My experience running two burners through Nero is that while it's a good idea in theory, and saves you having to load and unload discs inbetween, it tends to take roughly the same amount of time to burn anyway, especially if you've got burners sharing an IDE channel. Maybe a duplicator would serve you better ?If in doubt, Google it. -
Thanks...
The speed thing worries me a little..
I'll look at duplicators, if they are not too exy.
