  1. About a month ago, I purchased a Leadtek tv2000xp tv card for my home pc. After installing it, updating drivers, and getting my computer set up, I was watching tv with no problems. Then I tried to do what I had bought the card for and record. Records fine, except I get no sound when i go to play it back. I have tried changing settings after settings with no luck. Was wondering if anyone else ran into this, and if so, what they did to fix the problem.

(Dunno if this helps, but this is my system config)

    Asus P5P800 Motherboard
    Intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 800MHz FSB LGA 775 EM64T (3.0 ghz)
1 gig of ddr 2700 memory
    200gb wd HD 7200rpm 8mb cache
    ATI Radeon 9700 Pro AGP
    Leadtek tv2000xp expert
    DVD Rom
    Sony DVD Burner

Software that came with it is:
    Video Studio 8.0 from Ulead
    Cool 3D 3.0 from Ulead
    WinFastDVD from Leadtek

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  2. Verify the "Audio Recording Line" setting in the Configuration dialog box of WinFast PVR.

Your card has no audio recording capabilities (it sends the audio to your SOUND CARD). Get the program VirtualVCR and record with this. Once you get the proper audio path figured out, you'll never have to change it (and it always works).

  4. I will have to give that a try when I get home from work. Will also have to see if the recording scheduler that works with my current video software will work with virtualvcr, but if not I will figure out another way.

  5. In case anyone else runs into this, I found a way to use the included software for tv2000xp expert to record sound as well. http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/support/faq/FAQ_How_to_setup_the_audio_of_my_TV2000_XP_E...ert_112204.pdf
