    but will read cd-r's fine this is really upsettin me, how do i fix this

    Are you only having trouble with +/-r discs or also with pressed discs? If the drive won't read any discs, then your drive is most likely dead. Keep in mind that different lasers are used for CD's and DVD's, it is quite possible for one to work and not the other.

    No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
