Hello
I burned a film on double layer dvd+r (Verbatim) successfully with the NEC 3540 writer - it works fine on my computer.
But when I insert it in my Philips dvp630/02 player it shows PLAYING command, but on my TV there is a blank screen.
I am using the latest version of firmware: 0603.
Did I burn the disc wrong or should I use different firmware?
Thank you for your HELP.
Dusan

I have burned about 6 or 7 Verbatim DL DVDs and I did have 1 that my DVP-642 refused to play with exactly the same result as yours. I just gave up and watched the disc on my PC. I'm sure you burned the disc correctly. I'd say it's some kind of DVP-642 bug. I don't know which firmware version I have, by the way.
