  1. Hi,
I've just encoded 3 High def. DivX files (8mbs, 1280x720) from TS source.
The result is perfect but, I tried to join them with VirtualDub and other tools and, at best, the the result is a too large file (more than the 3 sources added by 25%) and the sound is out of sync.
Any idea to join those files?
    Thanks.

did you select video->direct stream copy?
and try virtualdubmod if you get sync problems.

run avimaster on each of them, then try to join the 3 new files.

  6. I've tried to join them without the sound. Still output a file 25% bigger than the total of 3
I've tried with prompt command line: copy /b 1.avi+2.avi+3.avi result.avi
The result weight is ok but in player, the file stop after the 1st segment.
I've tried 4 or 5 avi joiners but they were unable to open those HD DivX files.
I think some people like me are ready now for a new generation of tools (like hdtv2mpeg) that can handle HD files...
Or, maybe DivX people will unlock the 4gb limit to encode complete HD movie...
