Round feather or round cut layer

Hello everybody,

I'm a new member here, so Hello everyone ... this is a great sitem it's where i always can find help, but i stoped on something i couldn't do, so i thought that some1 of you would be able to help me, it'd be much appriciated.

My question is: how to make a round cut video or rond feather video, and put it on another, like it's done in the example video:

As you can see in the video, there is the studio video, and there's another layer over it in a round cut or round feather cut, my question was, how to make that with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, or Adobe after effects, or maybe if you suggest any other program that does it better, with the way how to make it, that would be much appriciated!

Welcome to the forums.

There's a great site (Wrigley Video) that has got loads of tutorials for Premiere (sadly, not After Effects) and also comprehensive forums (including After Effects).

One of the tutorials might suit your needs:

Instead of having a black background, you make it transparent and have your "studio" showing. Blurring the image of your "singer" is done by one of the "Video Effects" in Premiere.
