i have an rmvb file that i want to cut some scenes out of, i need to cut the first 21 seconds of the movie to align the sub file that i got. but all the programs ive used make me convert it after to avi, mpeg, dvd. is there a way to cut the first 21 seconds of this rmvb file and keeping it in rmvb format? after i cut the parts i need from the movie, then i can add the subs with ffdshow to align it with the words
because i did use the tutorial guide at this link
https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212204
with eo video, but the ouput file was going to be WAY too big. and the picture quality was crappy and the voice was laggy
any suggestions is appreciated

thanks guys
ok, i have subtitle workshop right now, and tried adding the delay when i saw that this program doesnt suport rmvb, so either i need to convert or find a program that does allow a subtitle delay and supports rmvb.
i tried to use winavi to convert to avi, with xvid encode, but it said it was gonna take over 22 hours! is that correct or should i choose a different audio/video codec?
could you guys tell me a program thats easy to use, converts easily to avi, mpg, wmv, etc, and keeps the same aspect ratio, fps, quality, etc besides eo video?
any suggestions are appreciated
