hello
i am having a problem with editing some of my movies
and what i mean by that is after i cut the unwanted scene from the movie i cant cut the wanted timing from the subtitle with out losing the rest of the sub timing
i tryed some programs that cut both of them in the same time like tempeng... but the result file size came too big
so is their a method to cut a specifec timing from the subtitle and let the rest of it auto adjust ???
please help me if u can and i ll check this post at least 3 times daily to answer any quistions about what i mean

A little more information would help. What format is the audio/video in the file and what format is the subtitle file?
And welcome to our forums. -
thnx i am glad to be part of this great forum
the video format is the reqular AVI
and the subtitle SRT or SUb
but its doesnt matter for the both of em because there is alot of programs that help in changing formats
and just to clearfy what i mean
in this topic https://forum.videohelp.com/topic283241.html they cutted parts from the video
how can they adjust they sub after what they cutted
and thnx for replaying -
It's easy to edit and adjust timing in subtitles using Subtitle Workshop.
Edit the Avi, make note of the times you cut and then open the SRT in Subtitle Workshop.
Select your new Avi as the "movie".
You can go to each break, delete subtitles and move up the remainder by a given time to get them back in sync.
There are many functions for adjusting times, individually or en masse.
Spend 10 minutes reading the help file and you'll be fine. -
thnx alan for replaying
i have subtitle workshop for about 3 months now but i cant fegure out how to close the gap in the timing after deleting a section of the sub in the midd
and some time the cutted section have no sub so it doesnt appear in the subtitle
so if their was a tool or a method in subtitle workshop please text write the instructions about reaching it
many thanks -

thnx for your help
but is there any easier method
because to be honest i got lost in reading the help file
thnx again -
This is what it says. If you can't understand it, I don't know any better way to explain it.
To apply a delay, first load your subtitle, then click the "Edit/Timings/Set delay..." menu or press [Ctrl]+[D] keys. The delay dialog will pop up. -
thnx alan
after trying and failling for about an hour and a half i finally figured it out
so thans for clearing that out for me
by the way do you recomend any program for cutting the video
i tryed SolveigMM Video Splitter but it dont allow me to move the video cursor bar as i want
then i tryed virtualdub but i kept losing the sync between the audio and the video
do you know any other good program that i can use
many thanks in advanced
