I'm creating a movie trailer compilation from DVDs I own. After encoding a .VOB file as .MPG (DVD NTSC template) using MPEG Video Wizard and importing it into my DVD Architect project, I am left with video but no audio. The .MPG files play fine and with audio in Windows Media Player. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking at MPEG Video Wizard's Export/Save As dialog box where I selected the DVD NTSC template. When I click on details, the audio section shows AC-3, 2 channels (for the X Files: Fight the Future trailer), 48 KHz, 192 Kbps. When I do the same thing for for House of Flying Daggers trailer, I see AC-3, 6 channels, 48 KHz, 384 Kbps.
Thanks! -
If MPEG Video Wizard isn't the right program to convert .VOB files to DVD complient .MPG files, can anyone suggest another tool?
Maybe I need to multiplex the .MPG files with TMPGENC. I'll try that tonight. -
You cannot mix different format audio or video in the same titleset, so 2 channel AC3 and 6 channel AC3 must be in seperate titlesets. If you try to mix them, and the authoring software may not stop you, the usual symptom is loss of audio as the playback device gets confused.
