When I try to use the H.264 Encoder, I get this error in the terminal window:

    Option x264encopts: Unknown suboption threads

    Exiting... (Error parsing cmdline)

    Any ideas on this ?

  2. With this new version you are required to download a new version of the mencoder and mplayer binaries even if you already installed ffmpegX before. The download URL is http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries20050814.zip
Other versions will not work. Only mplayer and mencoder need to be updated. Please read the installation instructions at http://homepage.mac.com/major4/download.html

One of my check boxes wasn't checked! Whoops . . .

I encoded a 640x352 TV show I recorded using EyeTV, and even at 29.97 frames, with the H.264, I was able to squeeze it down to 280MB. That is just . . . stunning. Thank you Major!!!
