Hi,
Does anyone know of any Alternatives to Norton System works?
I think it causes more problems than fixing things.
Should I stick with the windows apps chkdisk and defrag?
I currently have NSW 2003, I bought NSW2005 but it doesn't work with NAV Corp. I won't use NAV2005 I can't return it since I opened it already![]()
Thanks for your input

I've always used nortons systemworks 2003 with no problems. The defrag and chkdisk is faster than the windows version. That sucks that you can't return NAV2005 even with it not being opened.

norton stuff is evil ...
use DiskKeeper Pro or O&O defrag ...
you dont need all that other crap .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
If you have a 10Ghz computer with 10Gb ram you should be able to run Norton Systemworks and get real good P4 3Ghz performance so stick with it if you have the hardware.

PS Friends don't let friends install Norton products. -

You're right, I should have clarified. Ghost is excellent. I use it on my BartPe boot CD all the time. Even then it launches the DOS version. Works perfect every time.

maybe because norton did not develop ghost
