Nero is Locking Up

Im using Nero to burn my DVD and right before I burn, the program freezes up. Any suggestions.

Or remove Nero and reinstall. It's OK for burning, but not much else.

Being that you haven't given any other info, that's about all I can suggest.

EDIT: If you need to uninstall Nero, use the Nero Clean Tool. It takes stuff out the uninstall doesn't. It also solves some Nero problems when you need to reinstall Nero.

Actually I like Nero, it can do some things you wouldn't think of. It is really slow, but, this isn't a Nero bashing thread so:

Bad media screws up burns in Nero more than anything else, what are u using?

is it your first attempt at burning DVD?
maybe what you're trying to burn is causing problem.
nero has its knockers but i think it's excellent.

If you are burning avi's to dvd using the "make your own DVD-video" in nero vision, your problem may be the result of not having the correct codec for the avi file, nero is extremly picky about codecs, and it will lock up if you don't have the right one. although this usually results in the program locking up during the transcoding of that avi file, it sometimes occurs immediately before or during burning as well, i've even had it happen when adding files to the project.
