  1. Sometimes while playing a DVD (burnt or retail) I get white horizontal lines moving around. To get rid of them I have to stop the DVD and resume it.
They are not the same as the faint white vertical lines that appear during DIVX play back sometimes. These are very bright white moving horizontal lines. Anyone experience this?

I've experienced the same thing...I was thinking it had to do with progressive scan. I never had the issue until I recently bought a big screen TV and switched the player to progressive scan.

I'm going to have to dig this thread up. I've been using my DVP642 with Component and Progressive Scan output, and notice this. It happens now and then, no matter what DVD I'm playing. Really annoying!

I saw some OLD threads reporting this too. Is there a solution? Why hasn't this issue been fixed yet after at least a year?
    My A/V hardware: Sony 30" KV-30HS420, Philips DVP642/37, Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1, Comcast/Motorola DCT6200, PS2 SCPH-30001 (and it still works!)
