  1. I am trying to process a DVDVCD and I am using dmpgdec to process the file. I am able to create the .d2v project file and extract the audio, but when I try running VFAPI and try to load the d2v file to create the dummy AVI, I get the following message:

    ????f:\test.d2v ??????.

I noticed that this same error shows up in the "how to frameserve" guide, however, they mention that changing the dropdown and/or using version 1.3.0 instead of 1.3.1 fixes this error. I am unable to do either. The dropdown does NOT give an option for DGIndex files, only DVDAVI files, Avisynth/Virtualdub script or TMPGEnc Project. I am using version 1.4.0, and supposedly, I cannot use 1.3.0 to process MPEG1's. Please help - anything would be greatly appreciated!

Run DGIndex and verify that when you pull down the Help menu the VFAPI Plugin item is checked. Make sure that the files DGVfapi.vfp and DGDecode.dll are in the same directory as DGIndex.exe.

Could always use AVISynth instead of VFAPI. No forced RGB24 conversion that way.
