  1. What I am trying to do is encode a 5.1 AC3 (could use a 6ch wav too) to Dolby Headphone or some equivalent. I have PowerDVD so that may be of some help. I would like to encode a live DVD with it because I used azid to create stereo files but it's missing a certain depth. Is their some way to convert to dolby headphone or something similar without having to mess with each audio channel? Thanks!

  3. lol...what i want to do is convert a 5.1ch ac3 file to a stereo file, but i want to have some sort of 'simulated' surround sound in the end file so it doesn't lose that live feeling.

use headac3 (-> from needfulthings) it offers a Dolby Surround ProLgic II downmix and downsampling to 44.1KHZ directly from the AC3 file

I don´t know whether the ambiente is still that surround without a decoder inside your headphones but at least the effects are restored inside your track

  5. is the prologic downmix called 'surround 2'? That's what I was working with although headac3 bothered me as when you change files it resets all the settings. I worked with azid gui and selected (under stereo) 'surround' which seemed to produce the same effect as headac3. So their is no way to utilize dolby headphone or virtual speaker? Kinda stupid. That's like making a new car that's just for show...wait people do that.
