I'm really stuck. I have some digital video captured at 704x576, but Adobe Premiere seems to be using by default 720x480. This means that (A) I'm missing part of my vertical picture, (B) I'm having my picture truncated across the width, with a black border when I record to DVD.
How can I adjust the resolution (height and width) for a sequence? I can't find anything in the online help, and when I right click on properties for a sequence it gives me informaiton (screen res) but doesn't let me modify it.

As you are in Australia you are in a PAL country. 720 x 480 is an NTSC resolution so you have Premiere set wrong in the first place. 704 x 576 is a compliant resolution for PAL DVD so you need to set Premiere to use that or 720 x 576 as your default.

It's the project settings you need to change. If you set for PAL DVD I would assume it will set to 720 x 576. A clip at 704 x 576 would (presumably) be resized to fit (unless you have something telling it not to change the aspect ratio).
I'm afraid I can't help with specifics as my only experience with Premiere was version 5 which I tried, couldn't get on with, and went to Ulead Mediastudio Pro instead. However, the two applications are very similar (my father prefers Premiere) so the settings should be there somewhere.
By the way, no screenshot.... -
I can't see where to change the size on this dialog box. I'm sure it must be something obvious I'm missing but not sure what.David Reilly -
You don't want to change it. The settings are correct for PAL DVD using DV footage as your source. How you have got a DV file in 704 x 576 in the first place I don't know. A transfer from a camcorder would be in 720 x 576 so it must have been encoded to DV avi after it hasd been captured from something else.
It should look correct when burnt to DVD and played on a TV.
