Im sitting here with a RealMedia file and experimenting to get the best possible quality conversion to AVI as possible
in Ultra RM converter, there is only one last step to decide what to do, does changing the width/height affect the quality alot? i personaly think its hard to see when comparing
The input is on 320X240, the output i choosed 480x576, the most noteable change i see is thath the output picture have shrinked considerable in all media-players when playing in full-screen
the question is if the picture got smaller or if black space in the corners just was being added? :P it all looks like all it have done is reserved space for something but still not fill up thath space with anything new!![]()
Perhaps the quality got a bit better im unsure, cause it didnt look to beautifull from the start cause of its Real format
What is the best X value to choose if you want higher resolution than 320X240 and still dont shrink the picture with as mutch as 40 % thath both 480x576 and 720x576 did (choosing another values between the 2 therefore feels kind of hopeless, a big span) cause the difference between them was minimal, only change looked like it was the size-form thei opened up with in media-players in, the fullscreen mode looked the same

Upscaling the frame size will not increase quality. Leave the video it's original size unless you are converting to something that requires specific sizes (like DVD).
