  1. I have been using DVD-Lab Pro for a while now, and have come accross this problem several times now...

I am creating my own DVD. I have an avi video clip that I want convert, and I want to use the first part of the clip as the menu background as well. The clip is quite long, but I only want to use the first part which is exactly 30 seconds long for the menu. I converted the clip to MPEG2 to use in the DVD.

I extract the first 30 seconds of the clip to wav to use as the sound to the menu.

When I go to render the motion for the menu, I set the time to 30 seconds, but for some reason the clip lasts the 30 seconds, but doesn't reach the end of the clip! This means that the audio & video are out of sync for the menu. In order to see the whole 30second clip, I have to render for 36 seconds, but this is obviously also out of sync!

    Any ideas??

  2. Sounds like a framerate problem either PAL/NTSC or 3/2 pulldown. Check if the framerate properties of your clip fits to the setting of the menu.

  3. Thx for the reply...

How do I check (and/or change) the framerate properties for the menu?

  4. You can check the framerate of the final vob file, that contains the menu (it is either VIDEO_TS.VOB or VTS_XX_0.VOB). But I don't know how to change the setting in dvdlab (I don't own it).
