    Hi there -

    Perhaps a dumb question - but how can i best convert a PAL DVD to NTSC and re-burn it. I tried to drop the video_ts folder into FFMPEGX and encode via MPEG2ENC but the status screen just freezes (left overnight on a dual 2.5 G5/2.5G ram)..
    am i doing something wrong?

    Best would be to start with a VOB file instead of a VIDEO_TS folder (you may extract the source as a single VOB). Then encode to your target format with "Decode with Quicktime" enabled.

    Hmm.. I use FastDVD Copy to extract/rip the DVD.. but i dont see an option to extract as a single VOB file. is there another utility out there which does that?

    MacTheRipper, YadeX and 0SEx have such an option.
