Converting mpeg file

I've been trying to convert this video file I have, which plays fine, and can even be opened in many programs, i tried all sorts of video conversion programs, and they all have the same problem.

about 1:30 into the file, the conversion stops, im guessing the file is damaged, i tried fixing the header, and used all media fixer, and still won't convert the whole file. it plays though.

gspot says all the codecs are installed

Without details on the file, there's not much advice anybody can give. Can you post the Gspot screen? Block out the title if you like.

What are your trying to convert it into? What programs are you using?

i tried converting it to .wmv and .avi with no luck, they both stop converting at the same spot. i tried various converting programs with no luck,just the same results

You might want to do a Google search for 'Mpeg1 payload'. There may be some solutions, but It's apparently a propitiatory format. No easy way to do what you want. Used on some sites that don't really want you to copy their 'material' for legal and other reasons.
