Just static

I'm transfering analog video and audio thru a dac-100 firewire setup but all I get is static. I've tried all settings and was under the impression that the audio is being transmitted thru the firewire with the video. Tried D1 and D2 transfer. Audigy sound card is enabled and working fine....I'm listening to music right now.

Testing in WMM, I get the properties of:

bitrate: 1024kbps
channels: 2
sample rate: 32kHz
sample size:16

Where's my stereo audio?

This is just a SWAG, but maybe your audio sample rate is wrong? 32k seems odd. Usually it's 48k or 44.1k.

Well, I'm just testing in the most basic editor I have. WMM doesn't allow settings when using firewire. In all my others aps, it says 48kHz and it's just static, too.

Seems it doesn't like firewire and I may have to go directly to the soundcard via rca to mini plugs.

But I want to try this way out first....since I have audio L & R input on the front of my hardware bridge (DAC-100) that's all supposed to go thru the firewire.
