Finaly when i figured out how to make the video stop skipping I find a new prob. with the audio. I can hardly hear any thing. I have to turn the tv and the napa player to hear it at a normal audio level. The same thing happens to my mp3 cds also. Does any one know how to normalize the audio so Its loud when i turn it up? If you have any tips on any adjustments you make when you convert the dvd to vcd, this would be the time to tell them.
As soon as i figure out how to make a great vcd for the napa 311 I will post it for all to see, but the first i need to figure out how to adjust the volume so its accualy loud.
THANKS FOR ALL AND ANY ADVICE!

Normally this shouldn't be a problem with the NAPA DAV 311. Just make sure all the audio plugs are pushed right in. The audio output to TV was a little less than a standard DVD player, but it sounds like you have to turn the 311 right up and the TV right up. You mention that your mp3's are low in volume as well. Are you referring to them running through the TV or via standard headphones? -
are any of you getting the annoying sound off high pitch mp3's from the dav311?

The hi-pitched sound only seems to occur at certain bitrates on my Napa Dav 309. I found 112k was especially prone to it.
I've not had any problems with the audio level on my player, but I will be interested if you find what the problem is. -
I think the problem you are experiencing with the audio is the fact that if you want it go 10 steps louder, you have to press the volume "+" button 10 times (seperately) and not like other units, press it continously. However some MPFit/MPTrip players (I have noticed that the ones similar to the NAPA players have actually been removed from sale at various outlets) had real problems with their volume controls, maybe it's catchy?
