  1. I successfully burned a new dvd using SonicDVD on my WinXP servive pack 2 box. But when I tried to play it on another machine with WinXP service pack 2/MediaPlayer 10, the dvd will not come up with the MediaPlayer default to play. How can I make the Microsoft MediaPlayer 10 on the box be my default player and then play this dvd? Please help!!

I wouldn't use WMP10 for playing DVDs, but that's your choice. To associate a file with a program: Right click on the file and then 'Open With' and 'Choose Program'; select WMP for opening the file. Also click 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.' This has to do with file associations. For more info go to 'Help' in XP.

PowerDVD is my choice for DVDs. For free, VLC media player or Windows Media Classic are better choices and have a lot less overhead.
