Hello this is my first time posting. When I import an episode of a show in to final cut pro i try to shirnk the size of the video (because when i put it on a dvd it cuts off some of the picture) so i grab the corner (when it's in wireframe view) and make it a little smaller to where you can see some of the checkered pattern backround. Well when i do that the video gets all jerky can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. Also i try to import sequence 1 (the right view screen) after i render it (because it is always smooth) but when i import it as a divx avi file there is no sound.
if you can (someone who is familiar with final cut pro and could help me) give me your ichat name or same with aim.
Thanks

The divx file probably uses audio compressed in mp3 format, which all programs that use Quicktime don't like. Try running it through Divx Docter then import the resulting .mov file.
The reason a part of the show is being cut off is because of Overscan. It happens will all "normal" tv sets. You shouldn't have to distort the video. The video will be fine on your computer and upperend tv sets. Plus the show was intended to be shown on a set with overscan, so you're not missing anything.
