I am confused. I use adobe premiere 6 along with a matrox rt2500 card to edit video. I import wave music to my timeline and video clips. The outcome after I render, is an avi movie. My audio and avi movie come out seperated when exported as a movie. I can then take them and import them into TmpGenc plus, and they will be in sync.
Is my audio considered an avi audio or is it a wave audio after being exported as a movie in premiere? Will FFmpeggui accept it either way you look at it ?

    Hi,

Avi is for video. Your output will be a wav file or another audio type such as mp2 or ac3.

Also a lot of programs will have default input formats so as long as you point it to your audio file it should recognize it automatically.

When you export it, what options do you choose ? If you export the audio as a video file, you will get a black avi.

AVI = Audio Video Interleave. It can contain just video or video and audio.

ffmpeg can handle wav and avi inputs.

Thanks for answering my question. As far as the black video I don't think I ever seen that. I export as a matrox avi movie.
