    Hello one and all,
I am sending a wave file as an attachment to an e-mail. Yahoo only allows a file up to 24 MB. How can I shrink the size of my wave file from 35 MB to 24 MB?

    Thank you.

Use FLAC on it but understand that FLAC may not be able to compress it down to 24 MB. You'll just have to try and see what you get.

Re-encode it to MP3 or other format to produce a smaller file.

Upload to http://www.mediafire.com/ or similar sites. Or convert to a mp3 or aac with lamexp.

Or split the file and send it in two emails. WinRAR will allow you to split files. I have used SPLITTER in the past.

I hope the receiver has a high speed connection...Otherwise, 24mb will take 2 hours to receive. Like Baldrick said, probably best to upload to a sharing site and just include the link in the email.
