I am trying to author a DVD with two MPEGS, but one has AC3 audio and the other has MPEG audio. TMPGEnc will not let me use both clips. Is there any freeware that will convert the clip with MPEG audio to AC3 audio? If not, any commercial software that will do it?
Thanks,
Mark

you can author both without converting, just use separate tracks/vts for the mpegs. click add track in tmpgenc dvd author.

I tried separate tracks, but the two clips need to join smoothly and separate tracks caused a big jump.
I also multiplexed the video, but redwuz'r suggestion of just choosing a different audio source was something I didn't know about - worked beautifully and saved one generation of video.
DVD looks great - thanks for all your help!
