I cannot play bought or rented dvds but can play dvd+/- r/rw and cd similar.
Is there quick fix or should I throw it away?

	Had the same problem with my first DVD player. Started with refusing to play pressed DVDs (about 2-3 years old at the time (the player, not me  )), but played DVD-R fine. Then stopped playing DVD-R, but still CD/CD-R. Then went into the trash can. Also a VESEG (relabeled) player... )), but played DVD-R fine. Then stopped playing DVD-R, but still CD/CD-R.
