The Ring of Honor Wrestling company puts out their shows on pressed dual layer discs that they sell themselves (not mass market). To back them up, due to the large amount of motion, I want to split them onto 2 discs. Here's the problem:

In DVD Shrink's reauthor mode, under main movie (for what should be a show just under 3 hours) I get:
    Title 2: Duration 2:57:47, Size 6,589 MB
    Title 3: Duration 2:44:22, Size 6,090 MB (!?!?!!?)

When I open the VIDEO_TS folder in TDA, I get the same thing in the title set list, except Title 3 reports no audio. When I actually load the title set I get these runtimes:

    Title 2: 1:37:47
Title 3: 2:44:31 (with no audio)

I take it there's some weird merge thing going on. How do I work around it?

    Thanks.

What you are seeing is multi-angles in action. There is either a different language set of credits, or extra scenes, or something else in the original authoring. Shrink and other programs see these as seperate titles, though in reality there is one title that branches in different directions based on a playlist concept.

You can do a couple of things.

You can rip as you have done, and simply take one of these to backup. Which one depends on what you see in the preview, but in theis case, the one with the audio would be a good choice.

You can rip with DVD Decrypter, but before ripping it, go into preferences and tell it to ignore multi-angles and just atke angle 1. The outcome will be the same either way.
