Hi, my question might sound more complicated than it actually is. Whether or not the answer is complicated is what I'm hoping you guys can answer!
I'm going on vacation and have a lot of videos on my desktop's hard drive that I would like to watch while I am away. I don't have an external drive.
I want to watch these movies on my laptop, which has a measly 40GB drive, with not enough room to fit many videos. Is there a way I can link up my laptop to my desktop at home to watch these videos while I am away?
Thanks in advance!

put the movies on cd or dvd and take the discs with you
or convert them to divx or something and have them on your harddrive for playing -
Or buy an external harddrive enclosure and put your desktop drive in there.

Hi keys_to_tulsa,
This site offers free software which allows you to access your machine remotely:
www.mywebexpc.com
Whether you'll be able to play the files on your laptop once connected, and whether the speed of the connection is fast enough is another matter...
Good luck. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
