RC9 Encoding menu 50.0% freezing

I have had no real issues with the Beta version but it wont allow me to place a menu on the DVDs before burning, and the system just comes to a stop at the Encoding Menu stage and freezes up at 50.0%
Nothing more happens.....
Any Ideas people?

The progress bar stopping before 100% is a known issue:

Even though the progress bar stops the log will let you know that encoding is finished. Have you checked to see if the DVD folders are there and if the DVD plays?

What exactly do you mean when you say the program will not allow you to place a menu on the DVD? Is there an error message or are you choosing the "Quick DVD" option? The "Quck DVD" has no menu, you must click on the disc icon, not use the drop down selections if you want a menu.
