Hi,
On the inner ring of some discs i'm trying to copy, is a small blob of metal type material, which doesn't seem to affect the playback, but I can't get the DVD to rip using MacTheRipper. It reports that the disc has deliberate bad sectors, and gives me the option of padding or deleting the VOBs. I selected to pad them, but the resulting rip wasn't playable (only one of the two episodes on the disc played).
What type of protection is this - is it ARccOS? I'm using MTR 2.6.6. How can I get past it?
I'm just trying to rip the same DVD with DVDDecrypter running under Virtual PC, to see if that has any affect.... but the estimated time is over 2 hours, so if I could get them ripped on my Mac then that would be cool!
Cheers,
Nick
