  1. Can FreeDVD from DVDfab remove copy protection of New DVDs/BDs?
    Free DVD

Free DVD removes several protections from a DVD folder on the hard disk. It removes region code (RC), region code enhancement (RCE), analog copy protection, and user operation prohibitions (UOPs).

    Did anyone here tried this?

    I normally use DVDDecrypter + DVD43 + DVDShrink,
But, it can not remove protection from New DVDs/BDs.

Thanks in advance for your reply / feedback.

Well, none of those programs work with BD discs.

Yes, it's been known for years that none of those programs can remove the copy protection (usually ARCCOS) on SOME new DVDs, but most DVDs don't use ARCCOS or similar methods to protect DVDs. It depends on what studios you buy stuff from. DVDShrink was abandoned when the author was hired away to work for Nero. The last version of it was released prior to the existence of ARCCOS. DVDDecrypter was abandoned some years ago, also prior to ARCCOS, when the writer was given an offer he could not refuse to turn over the code and stop development or face a potentially ruinous court battle. DVD43 also hasn't been updated in a long time, but I don't know anything about its history.

The free section of DVDFab will remove encryption and structural protection from newer dvds, but its decryption capabilities will lag behind the paid version by four to six weeks on average. If you are not in a hurry, this should be fine for decryption. Then use DVDShrink to compress if necessary. (or DVDRebuilder).

I don't use DVDFab for Blu ray, so I'm not up to speed on what can and cannot be done with the free section of DVDFab with them.

AnyDVD HD works very well for blu ray, and is updated promptly when new BD+ protection appears, but there is no free version past the trial period.

AnyDVD - Smart Fox is giving me 21 trial, I guess 21 days are just enough and will serve the purpose.
    Thanks a Lot!

Slysoft's ANYDVD HD is worth the payment to keep abreast of the technology. Keeps the good people of Slysoft wanting to work their magic on the new protections too.

Can't have to many free lunches to often I find...
