    what is the best possible way to put a xvid movie with ac3 sound onto a dvd-r disk? i want the highest quality video and keep the ac3 audio. right now i am using TMPEGnc, but will use any other software you guys this is better.

  2. I would de-Mux the Audio,Then Encode the Video with Tmpgenc or MainConcept MPEG Encoder,Then Mux The AC3 Audio back into the Video,then Author.

    Give VSOdivxtoDVD a try. It's free and you may be surprised with how good the results can be.

    The quality is real good. However, it may have been something I did wrong, but the movies I made with this program just kept looping through untill I pushed the stop button. So I couldnt put a movie in the player at night and have it end up at the menu. Instead after the movie was over it would start again. Just something to think about before you try this program.

  5. You can import the IFO files from VSO into DVDlabPro and reconfigure it at your will. Changing connections, order and even putting more audio files in it while retaining your original AC3. By the way, you can also add menus and all sort of things to get a decent dvd at the end.
