When I add the file to Virtualdub, it gives me an error saying:
[!] AVI: Truncated or invalid compressed audio format detected (18 bytes,
should be 36). Attempting to fix.

And when I try to encode after decompressing the audio stream as a WAV file and encode the audio using the same, the audio encodes well, but the video encodes constantly at 2KBps while I want it to convert at 404Kbps=50.5KBps. Any ideas?? Virtualdubmod doesn't work as wel.

  3. Did you set the desired bitrate in Xvid? Xvid also has problems meeting the requested bitrate with heavily compressed sources. A 400 kbps h.264 video will look significantly worse after converting 400 kbps Xvid.

  4. I definitely did try setting the bitrate(I mean ain't it obvious?) and yeah, I do know that the quality will deteriorate like crazy, but heck, I don't have an option if I'm to play it on my player.
