Hi
How does Windvd record what off of your camcorder or VCR and burn it on a DVD? Doesn't it need to convert the video files to MPEG-2? If it does convert, is there anyway of editing the video first before burning on DVD?
Thanks

Don't know about WinDVD, but there are many other apps to use for capturing (depending on what capture card/solution) you use.

Well it comes with the HP media center. So is why I was asking. Which then is the best one out there to do this?

Again, what to use depends on what capture / TV tuner card you've got. Don't know what's fitted in the media center box.

If your'er talking about Intervideo Windvd creator- it's kind of lame. Even with a hardware encoder this program re-encodes the entire video when you compile or author the dvd-dumb!
Don't know what capture card you have with those media center's but wouldn't surprise me to see a "software only" solution.
